An election has been scheduled for Tuesday, November 5, 2024, to elect governing board members) to the Pine-Strawberry Water Improvement District. The polling place will be the First Baptist Church of Pine, open from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Arizona Revised Statutes § 48- 1012(F) allows that in addition to any other qualified elector of the district, any natural person who is a qualified elector of this state and an owner of real property within the district is eligible to vote in the district election without regard to that person’s residency. An owner of real property within a water improvement district is defined as the person in whom legal title appears by recorded deed, or the person in possession under claim or title, or the person exercising acts of ownership for himself or as the personal representative of the owner.

If your name is not listed on the Gila County Assessor’s tax roll for the parcel(s) located within the above named district, you must include with your request for an early ballot, documentation listing you as the authority to act on behalf of the property. Your eligibility to vote as an owner of real property will be determined by the Gila County Attorney.

If you believe that you qualify as an owner under this definition and wish to request an early ballot to vote in the Pine-Strawberry Water Improvement District election, you may use the early ballot request form in the link above. This form may be copied for additional requests. Your completed request must be returned to the Gila County Division of Elections at 1400 East Ash Street. Globe, AZ 85501, no later than 5:00 p.m. on October 25, 2024. Completed ballots must be received no later than 7:00 p.m. Tuesday. November 5, 2024.
